ABOUT APRPI
Rooted in evidence. Grown through relationship.
We are a teaching institute built on a simple belief: when clinicians have the knowledge, confidence, and community they need to grow, patients receive better care..
APRPI was founded to address a gap recognized firsthand in clinical practice and advanced practice education: specialized reproductive psychiatry training is rarely designed for the clinicians providing much of this care. We bring together evidence, clinical experience, and expertise in advanced practice education to create training that is rigorous, practical, and built for real-world practice.

Advanced Practice at the Center

Across the Reproductive Lifespan
Mental health care through every reproductive transition.
The Advanced Practice Reproductive Psychiatry Institute (APRPI) grew from a gap recognized firsthand in both clinical practice and advanced practice education.
Reproductive psychiatry is rapidly evolving, yet specialized education remains fragmented. Much of the available training has traditionally been designed for physicians or therapists, leaving advanced practice clinicians to piece together knowledge from multiple sources—often without education that reflects their scope of practice, clinical responsibilities, or approach to patient care.
APRPI was created to change that.
Founded by Allyce K. Jones, DNP, MSN, PMHNP-BC, APRN, CNE, MSCP, PMH-C, APRPI brings together expertise in reproductive psychiatry, psychopharmacology, clinical practice, and advanced practice education to create training designed for the clinicians providing this care every day.
Our approach extends across the reproductive lifespan—from menstruation, PMDD, and fertility through pregnancy, postpartum, lactation, reproductive loss, perimenopause, and menopause. Rather than simply presenting the evidence, we focus on what clinicians need to recognize, assess, diagnose, treat, and navigate in real-world practice.
Through Foundations, Specialty Courses, Clinical Conversations, Book Club, and individualized and practice-level consulting, APRPI is building something that has been missing: a place where advanced practice clinicians can develop reproductive psychiatry expertise while learning in community with others who share their interest in this work.
Rooted in evidence. Grown through relationship. Built for practice.
Work With UsExpect case-based learning, clear interpretation of current evidence, practical clinical frameworks, and meaningful discussion. We make space for complex questions, diverse perspectives, and honest conversations about the uncertainty that is often part of reproductive psychiatry.
Most importantly, expect to leave with something you can use in practice the next day—a framework, a phrase, a plan.
